EVERYONE BENEFITS

ECEA works to ensure that every child has access to enriching

early experiences to enhance development and enable
them to enter school ready to succeed.

"The earlier a child begins learning, the better he or she does down the road." (President Obama in Decatur, GA during 2013)

Economist Robert G. Lynch found that investment in high quality prekindergarten programs generates billions of dollars in economic and other benefits for the federal and state governments. (National Education Association)

Raising high school graduation rates of the most disadvantaged children would cost 35 to 50 percent more if the assistance arrived in their teens rather than before they turned 6. (The New York Times Article entitled "Investments in Education May be Misdirected published April 2, 2013)

WE LOVE TO SERVE

ECEA works with various local non-profits and organizations to connect families with resources.  We strive to ensure that needs are met.  For example, we collaborate with the Alliance Family Health Center to connect families with local prenatal care throughout pregnancy and the 1st year after delivery.
In addition, ECEA collaborates with the University of Mount Union, Alliance City Schools, the Early Childhood Resource Center, Stark Education Partnership, Stark State College, SCCAA, The Fatherhood Coalition, Salvation Army, and many others to serve the Alliance area community.  If you or someone you know has a need, please contact us so we can assist.

WITH HELP FROM THE COMMUNITY

ECEA works with local providers to ensure quality early childhood education is available in the area.  All of the providers we work with are Step Up to Quality rated.  If you are searching for a quality early childhood provider, please contact us or visit http://childcaresearch.ohio.gov.
