SPARK
SPARK: Empowering Families, Preparing Children for Success
At ECEA, we believe every child in Alliance, Ohio, and the surrounding area deserves a strong start. That’s why we’re proud to offer SPARK (Supporting Partnerships to Assure Ready Kids), a free, family-focused program designed to prepare preschool-aged children for a successful transition into kindergarten and beyond.
What Is SPARK?
SPARK is a research-based, in-home program that partners with families to build essential skills in reading, language, math, and social-emotional development. Each month, a trained Parent Partner, in collaboration with the Learning Advocate, delivers engaging lessons aligned with Ohio’s Early Learning Standards, providing children with the tools they need to thrive in school and life.
How SPARK Supports Families
Personalized Learning: Families receive monthly lessons and activities tailored to their child’s developmental needs.
Inclusive Resources: SPARK provides all necessary books and materials, which children get to keep.
Community Connection: Parent Partners connect families to local resources, ensuring children receive comprehensive support.
Early Intervention: The program identifies developmental concerns early, facilitating timely referrals to community services.
Proven Impact in Alliance
SPARK has consistently demonstrated positive outcomes for children in Alliance. Data from the Kindergarten Readiness Assessment (KRA) shows that SPARK participants are better prepared for kindergarten compared to their peers, with 73.2% meeting the Language and Literacy readiness benchmark, compared to 41% of non-SPARK children.
Join Us in Building a Brighter Future
