Community Partners

Building Stronger Early Childhood Partnerships in Alliance, Ohio

At the Early Childhood Education Alliance (ECEA), we believe that collaboration is essential to building a strong start for every child. That’s why we proudly partner with a diverse network of organizations across Northeast Ohio, that share our commitment to supporting families with young children and improving early learning outcomes in our community.

Our valued partners include local school districts, civic agencies, nonprofit organizations, and community foundations – each offering vital resources, support, and advocacy to help advance our shared mission. These early childhood partnerships are rooted in mutual respect and a common goal: ensuring that all children in Alliance have access to the nurturing environments they need to thrive.

While these collaborations are key to our impact, it’s important to note that ECEA remains an independently operated nonprofit, guided by its own mission, leadership, and vision. Together with our partners, we are building a more coordinated, responsive, and resilient early childhood system – one that uplifts families, empowers educators, and helps every child grow with confidence and care.

Alliance City Schools

ECEA proudly partners with the Alliance City School District, which serves nearly 3,000 students from preschool through 12th grade. As a public school system focused on student growth, ACSD is an essential part of our community’s educational landscape.

Our collaboration is rooted in a shared dedication to young learners. While ECEA is housed within the Alliance Preschool building and has email access through the district, we operate as an independent nonprofit. The relationship between the ACSD and ECEA is not one of management or oversight. Instead, we work hand in hand – complementing each other’s efforts to support children and families in Alliance.

Alliance Area Development & the Alliance Employment Promise

Since 2019, ECEA has partnered with Alliance Area Development and local employers through the Alliance Employment Promise (AEP), a unique initiative that helps working families afford high-quality early childhood education. Through this program, participating businesses—including Coastal Pet, MAC Trailer, Morgan Engineering, Robertson Heating Supply Company, and Winkle Industries—help provide up to $200 per child, per month toward care at one of seven trusted ECEA-supported centers. This support allows parents to remain employed while ensuring their children receive consistent, enriching care in high-quality early learning environments.

With new grant funding through the Ohio Department of Children and Youth Early Care & Business Partnership Grant, ECEA is expanding the Alliance Employment Promise by increasing business participation and extending hours at partner centers. As families face growing economic challenges, this expanded support is more important than ever—offering stability for working parents while creating bright beginnings for children across our community.

Alliance Area Centers

ECEA partners with a variety of independent local preschools and child care centers that serve Alliance families with care and commitment. While these centers are not managed by ECEA, we work closely with them – offering professional development, shared resources, and joint family engagement opportunities.

Together, we’re united by a common goal: helping every child in Alliance thrive from the very beginning.

Other Community Partnerships

ECEA also collaborates with a range of community-based organizations that help extend the reach of our work. From hosting joint events to developing new educational programs, these partnerships reflect the power of coming together to serve children and families more fully.
